Stimulating young entrepreneurs into action towards meeting the global goals of sustainable development and growing Zimbabwe into an upper middle income economy by 2030.
The Young Entrepreneurs Business Forum in partnership with the Ministry of Youth, Sport, Arts and Recreation and the Ministry of Public Service Labour and Social Welfare is hosting a series of round table meetings that focus on raising awareness on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The unifying thread running throughout is that we are helping young entrepreneurs identify economic opportunities within this sector, one that is estimated to be worth 12 Trillion USD globally.
Entrepreneurship is one of the main solutions to Zimbabwe’s economic challenges as entrepreneurs are in a position to bring about positive change through offering solutions to problems and in turn creating financial returns and employment. The Sustainable Development Goals present global opportunities for entrepreneurs especially among the Youth with the underlying theme of leaving no one behind.
The Young Entrepreneurs Business Forum strongly believes that, with the Round Table series, we will help to inform the youth about the opportunities, identify passion and talent linked to a specific SDG, incubate the small enterprises, innovate solutions, invest in the youth and guide them into independent operations. This will be achieved through collaboration with other private sector entities and business member organizations, the relevant Government departments and Third sector partners like the UN.
Training and mentoring i.e business plans and investor presentations.
Regular reviews to identify opportunities and measure progress.
Working with policy makers in the youth space.
Enthusing our youth to put in the unrelenting effort required to succeed in any business.
