The CAS founders were all born and brought up in Zimbabwe and are determined to give back to the continent of their birth.
Education, conservation and mental health issues are ones they feel are absolutely vital, not only to improving the lives of the disadvantaged, but also preserving the natural heritage of which we are caretakers, for future generations to come.
Born and raised in Zimbabwe. He started his career as an auditor for an accounting firm in Zimbabwe in 1992. At the time, his clientele encompassed NGOs, insurance companies, financiers, manufacturers, service industrialists, retailers, real estate agencies, legal practitioners, pension funds, medical practitioners and rural district councils. Thereafter he entered the food manufacturing industry, rising to the position of Finance Director for a production company before taking up the challenge as Managing Director of his own group of companies.
As a Master of Business Administration graduate, he
continues to take on new frontiers in business. His passion for business and creating new start-up projects has seen him progress in other sectors such as mining, trucking, and property development.
A third-generation Zimbabwean, now living in the UK. Nick is a founder and director of CAS in the UK and works very closely with the team in Zimbabwe. As a Zimbabwean farmer, Nick was the first chairman of the Zimbabwean farming community’s National Environment Committee. He was appointed first Regional Executive for the Commercial Farmers’ Union (CFU) of Zimbabwe.
Over the years Nick has gained a wealth of business, financial, organisational, and management experience around the globe
building up a solid and reliable network of contacts in the corporate, financial and political sectors, in Sub-Saharan Africa, the
Commonwealth and the rest of the world. He is also a Trustee of the Commonwealth Youth Orchestra & Choir and believes that the
media of music and sport can break down international barriers for the betterment of our co-existence in a fast-shrinking global village.
Born and educated in Zimbabwe, completing his final school years at Sherborne School in the United Kingdom followed by his Mechanical Engineering degree from Imperial College. After 10 years in the British Army he followed his dream to pursue his entrepreneurial instincts. He is motivated by the opportunities that exist at this timely juncture of Zimbabwe’s renaissance.
His previous experience includes risk management, logistics and mining and he is a director of a small number of companies in Zimbabwe. He provides strategic direction to the businesses and continues to bring his international network to bear on investment opportunities and technology transfer to Zimbabwe. The formation of the CAS Foundation with a focus on Mental Health and Conservation is very close to Ed’s heart too.
A young entrepreneur with a strong passion for business, entrepreneurship, technology and investment. Over the years, he has attained experience and exposure both locally and internationally. His vision is to build successful businesses, create proper jobs and open up opportunities for whole communities, using his talents and skills to help others.
In 2017, Jacob was selected among the top 1,000 entrepreneurs on the African continent by the Tony Elumelu Foundation – an experience that opened up a robust network of potential partners and fellow young entrepreneurs and business leaders on the African continent.
